PHARR, TX — Doggett Machinery Services announces that Derek Paternostro has been named Vice President of Operations. He will have leadership and operational responsibility for all locations throughout Louisiana and East Texas. His management and customer relations skills will be instrumental in continuing the growth of the business. Doggett Machinery Services operates 17 John Deere construction and forestry equipment dealerships throughout Louisiana and Texas.
In 2011 he joined the Doggett organization in a customer support role in Southeast Louisiana. He then progressed to various roles including Sales, Branch Manager and then District General Manager. Paternostro has spent his entire post-college career in the construction equipment industry. He received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2010.
Doggett is a diversified heavy equipment dealer for seven first-tier manufacturers: John Deere construction and forestry equipment (17 dealerships), Toyota Industrial Equipment - forklifts and material handling (7 dealerships), Freightliner and Western Star on-highway and vocational trucks (9 dealerships), Link Belt Cranes (3 dealerships), a Ford auto and truck dealership and Great Dane Trailers (3 dealerships). Doggett sells, rents and provides replacement parts, along with offering routine maintenance, repairs and support services for heavy equipment and engines.
