The family-owned, female-led company based in Westerville grew revenue on average by 10 percent in each of the past five years. The rebranding reflects the company’s growth in size and capability, including the skilled self-perform workforce and capacity to manage significantly larger projects.
CEO Lori Gillett is a member of the Burgett family, which owns the Kokosing family of companies. Her grandfather, William “Bill” Burgett, founded his company in 1951 with projects in Mount Vernon and Fredericktown. Growth and evolution were in the plan from the start.
“My grandfather always planned to build an organization that would adapt to lead the industry for the benefit of generations to come,” Gillett said. “We’re proud of where we’ve been and proud of where CK is going.”
CK has been recognized for the quality delivered by its team for construction projects, including multiple BX Craftmanship Awards from the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio.

In a tight construction labor market, CK also has a multi-generational workforce with very low turnover. CK works to grow and develop its team with an in-house apprenticeship program and a mentorship experience called Women’s Ideas and Strategies Exchange.
The new CK Construction branding will gradually replace the former logo on company apparel and equipment over the next year.
